We are excited to welcome Sam White, co-founder of Greentown Labs and Director and co-founder of Promethean Power Systems, to our Board of Directors. Sam found and signed the very first warehouse lease in Cambridge that eventually became Greentown Labs. Previously serving on our Advisory Board, Sam has played an instrumental role in evolution of Greentown Labs and preserves the entrepreneurial voice in our leadership. His full bio is listed among our Board of Directors page, here.
“Since moving back from Mumbai, India, where we are scaling our business, I’ve been thrilled to see how Greentown has gone from a scrappy shared warehouse space to such a professional and productive incubator. What has been created here far exceeded my original vision for a shared cleantech space, and I look forward to rejoining the board and playing an active role in its future expansion.” Sam’s company, Promethean Power Systems, gets fresh orders from Indian dairies each day. Over 100 systems have been installed so far and counting.
Emily Reichert, CEO, Greentown Labs, voiced her praise, commenting, “Sam has been an integral figure in the Greentown Labs community since its inception. His vision fundamentally defined the original Greentown community and has continued to inform our mission to enable entrepreneurs to solve the world’s most complex energy and environmental challenges. We are thrilled to welcome him to our Board and be able to benefit from his tremendous insights as an entrepreneur and innovator.”
Sam White replaces board member Jeremy Pitts, VP Engineering for Hicor Technologies, now located in Houston, TX where the company has scaled and grown. Hicor Technologies (formerly OsComp Systems) was one of the founding companies of Greentown Labs.
