About the solution

Founded by MIT engineers and headquartered in Boston, MA, TalkingHeads Wireless is utilizing OpenRAN technology and proprietary techniques to think differently about the way energy is treated in traditional remote radio head (RRH) design, which is the hardware box that sits at the top of the cell tower.  THW solutions center on the physical design of the RRH and the corresponding proprietary software base in the baseband unit (BBU), which sits at the bottom of the tower and connects the RRH to the core network.  THW intellectual property includes patent-pending fronthaul and advanced, energy-based technologies, and a data/AI-driven approach to network planning & management.  THW is currently the only US-based provider, a national security asset for domestic communications infrastructure, and a competitive advantage over the oligopolistic telco market dominated by European and Chinese providers.
