About the company
PolyQor is a cleantech company based in the U.S. that transforms hard-to-recycle plastic waste into high-performance construction aggregates. PolyQor is building localized recycling ecosystems by converting multi-layer plastic (MLP) into EcoGrete™, a material that replaces virgin gravel and reduces the carbon footprint of construction projects. Through its DBA in Pakistan known as Concept Loop, PolyQor has recycled over 900 tons of MLP to date – equivalent to 563+ million wrappers.
PolyQor’s partners and customers include Shell, PepsiCo, Nestlé, EBM, Mondelez, Artistic Milliners, and Mari Petroleum, among others. Product validation has come from leading institutions such as PCSIR, Pakistan Green Building Council and Meinhardt International.
PolyQor’s achievements include winning the Shell Tameer Awards for Circular Economy, the Plastic Waste Challenge by Trinamix, the SDPI Sustainability Award for best case study ‘Circular Economy’, the UNDP SDGs Innovative Financing Challenge Cup and the Green Climate Challenge held in Baku at COP29.
By adopting EcoGrete™, responsible companies have achieved up to 84% carbon reduction, offering a climate-positive, cost-comparable alternative to conventional construction materials.
About the solution
PolyQor addresses the lack of end-markets for plastic waste by offering scalable infrastructure for processing MLP and other plastic residues into construction-grade aggregate. The proprietary EcoGrete™ formulation meets ASTM and BS standards and is engineered to integrate seamlessly into civil works. By monetizing waste through tipping fees, EPR credits, and product sales, PolyQor offers an economically and environmentally sustainable alternative to landfilling.
