About the Company 

Octavia Carbon is the Global South’s first Direct Air Capture (DAC) company. They design, manufacture, and deploy machines that filter CO2 directly from the atmosphere. Our technology is specifically designed to leverage low-grade geothermal heat to meet approximately 85% of its energy needs. The captured CO2 is injected underground into basalt rocks in Kenya’s Rift Valley, where it mineralizes and is permanently stored.

About the Solution

Octavia Carbon’s solution is an adsorption-based Direct Air Capture (DAC) system that filters CO2 directly from the atmosphere using proprietary, amine-functionalized monolithic structured sorbents. A key technical differentiator is our integration with low-grade geothermal heat, which addresses approximately 85% of the system’s energy-intensive requirements, dramatically lowering both costs and the carbon footprint of removal. Captured CO2 is pumped underground for permanent sequestration via in-situ mineralization in Kenya’s basalt rock formations.
