About the solution 

The conventional suction anchor, when used in floating offshore wind projects, is projected to emit over 9 million metric tons (MMT) CO2-e by 2050, equivalent to emissions from a natural gas-fired power plant over 23 years. In contrast, Deep Anchor Solutions’s innovative solution, the deeply embedded ring anchor (DERA), emits only 79,915 MT CO2-e/year, a substantial reduction compared to the conventional suction caisson’s 361,100 MT CO2-e/year. This technology has the potential to cut CO2-e emissions by around 80%, equivalent to the reduction achieved by 63,000 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles driven for one year.
