Applied Gaia builds pyrolysis plants to convert waste biomass to value added products. According to a recent report by the UN, at the current rate of degradation, the Earth only has 60 years of usable topsoil left. Applied Gaia is committed to preserving the agriculture industry through the production of high-quality biochar—an odorless, clean material generally made from waste biomass that would otherwise be burned or landfilled. Biochar can be used to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, to reduce harmful effects that fertilizers have on soil, or as a filtration method.
