Idea Mixing + Memory Sharing: MIT Clean Energy Prize Mixer

The MIT Clean Energy Prize (CEP) is the nation’s largest clean energy-focused innovation competition. Last week the CEP leadership team held an Ideas Mixer at Greentown Labs to offer like-minded students a chance to engage with veteran energy entrepreneurs and form teams for the CEP.

Speakers at the event included two members of the Greentown Labs community:

Sam White, co-founder of Promethean Power Systems, a firm that designs and manufactures refrigeration systems for cold-storage applications in off-grid and partially electrified areas of developing countries.

Senthil Balasubramanian, winner of the 2013 MIT CEP Renewable Energy track and co-founder of Sistine Solar, a firm that designs custom rooftop solar panels.

Both Sam and Senthil spoke fondly of their experience in the MIT CEP and in case you weren’t at the event, here’s a video of Sam’s comments. Needless to say, he (and the rest of the Greentown Labs’ community) is a huge supporter of the CEP!
