Earlier this week, we hosted Treasurer and Receiver-General of Massachusetts, Steve Grossman. Also in attendance and tweeting were some local media such as BostInno and the Boston Herald!

The Tour

Grossman had a chance to meet some of our member companies like Altaeros Energies, and see the prototypes they’re building. Altaeros discussed their progress in the development of a breakthrough airborne wind turbine that produces abundant, low-cost, renewable energy with easy mobility and deployment at remote locations.

After the tour, Grossman took time to talk to some more members and founders of the Greentown Labs community. The conversation ranged from sharing what attracted these companies to Massachusetts to how Grossman could help keep them in the state and create more jobs here. Many of the members also discussed the importance of local programs such as MassCEC’s internship program in helping to find and retain talent here.
