Greentown Startup Leaders Share Advice on Managing Hybrid Teams

As U.S. COVID-19 vaccination rates increase and many state regulations lift, we’re excited to have more and more of our member companies back on-site at Greentown Labs to develop their climatetech solutions! After developing remote-work skills and processes over the past year, many of our startups’ teams now have more flexibility than ever before. As the workplace experience and expectation continues to evolve, teams have a new set of complexities to navigate: how to work together in a hybrid manner. These challenges include maintaining communication among both in-office and remote employees, fostering social bonds among all team members, acquiring the software and hardware tools needed for hybrid meetings, and more.

We recently brought together several leaders from the Greentown Labs startup community for a discussion on how to manage hybrid teams and what strategies they’ve been testing out so far. We were thrilled to have Anna Asphar, Principal at A3 HR Consulting, moderate the conversation among Lydia Bowers (People and Culture Lead at Spyce), Shreya Dave (CEO of Via Separations), and Stefan Bokämper (CEO of Kuva Systems). Watch the event recording below for a look at their hybrid work best practices and learnings from overcoming challenges in the transition to this new model of work.
