Funding
- AgZen, whose RealCoverage tech uses AI to optimize and minimize pesticide use, closed a $10M Series A.
- Glimpse raised a $10M Series A for its battery-quality-monitoring platform.
- Greentown members and alumni Andros Innovations, EVident Battery, FAST Metals, Fleet Robotics, Heliotrope Photonics, Orien Energy, Reframe Systems, Respire Energy, rStream, SpadXTech, SparkCharge, and Transaera won a total of nearly $2.7M in recently announced grants from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center.
- BlueShift—whose electrochemical systems unlock resilient, rapidly scalable critical mineral supply chains and cost-effective CO2 removal—closed a $2.1M pre-seed round.
- Carbon to Value Initiative (C2V Initiative) alum Capture6, which removes carbon from the atmosphere while producing clean water and other industrial products from saltwater, raised $27.5M between a Series A and project financing.
Partnerships + Deployments
- Phlair, a C2V Initiative participant, secured a $30.6M offtake agreement with Frontier to remove 47,000 tonnes of CO2 between 2027 and 2030. The startup is developing an electrochemical approach to direct air capture that’s energy efficient and designed to work with intermittent renewable energy sources.
- rStream deployed its waste-sorting trailer at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
- AeroShield Materials announced a technical milestone—the development of door-sized, transparent aerogels—and a partnership with ODL to create entry- and patio-door products.
- it’s electric cut the ribbon on its first curbside deployment, part of a partnership with the City of Boston to rapidly deploy EV chargers.
- Active Surfaces is partnering with Boston Solar to test its thin, ultra-light, and flexible solar technology.
- Agrilab Technologies deployed its compost aeration system at Windham Solid Waste Management District’s facility in Brattleboro, VT.
- Haffner Energy signed a contract for the development of a biomass-based hydrogen, electricity, and biochar production plant with H2 bois SA.
- Adept Materials is set to launch its first consumer product, “a premium interior paint and primer system that incorporates the company’s proprietary moisture control technology.”
- H2Ok Innovations deployed its water-saving advanced sensors at a South African Breweries location in Cape Town, South Africa.

- Greentown Go alum Energiency, developer of software for industrial energy-performance analytics, was acquired by EPSA.

- AeroShield Materials won Hello Tomorrow’s Sustainable Construction and Infrastructure Track at the 2025 Global Challenge.
- it’s electric was selected by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies for the 2025 Green GOOD DESIGN Award.
- Greentown members and alumni Adept Materials, Ecolectro, Flux Marine, Osmoses, and Verde Technologies were selected for ACT’s Green Giants list of top climatetech startups to watch.
