Greentown Labs Announces Terawatt Sponsorship with GE Ventures

We are excited to announce that GE Ventures is now a Greentown Labs Terawatt Sponsor!

Combining capital, technical and commercial expertise, GE Ventures invests in energy companies and technologies. It’s global network of business units and customers, along with its world-class resources to help companies grow and scale, makes it a natural partner for Greentown and its member companies.

GE Ventures

Last October, GE Ventures and Greentown Labs hosted an Open Office Hours event that connected investment professionals and business unit heads at GE Power & Water with energy startups from Greentown and the broader community. From that success, Andrew Lackner, VP of Energy Ventures at GE, drove subsequent discussions about collaboration and partnership opportunities. Lackner will also join the Greentown Advisory Board.

As part of our partnership, GE Ventures will also serve as a Supporting Partner in the PROPEL Program, a prototype development initiative led by Greentown Labs and Fraunhofer TechBridge, and sponsored by Shell GameChanger.

“Having the expertise, network and access to capital at GE Ventures is of tremendous value to our members,” said Emily Reichert, CEO, Greentown Labs. “We also look forward to their participation in the PROPEL Program, as mentors to the participating companies. The potential is there for these startups to develop strategic partnerships with GE Ventures and other Supporting Partners down the road.”
