Celebrate Juneteenth with AABE Boston & Greentown Labs
Friday, June 17 | 6:00-9:00pm ET | Somerville, MA
Join AABE Boston in partnership with Greentown Labs to celebrate Juneteenth with networking, games, and special guests! Featuring Black owned spirits, wines and locally brewed beers.
The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensuring the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies, regulations, emerging technologies, and environmental issues.
The Greater Boston Chapter of AABE is a recognized nonprofit organization founded in 2014. In addition to furthering the AABE mission in the Greater Boston area, our primary initiative of helping build the pipeline of underrepresented minorities to enter the energy industry is done by providing mentorship and scholarship funds to greater Boston students pursuing energy and STEM related careers
Parking is incredibly limited at Greentown Labs and we encourage attendees to consider taking advantage of public transportation. We’re a short walk from the newly opened Union Square station, as well as 1 mile away from the Harvard MBTA station. Union Square in Somerville is also easily accessible via the #86 and #91 MBTA buses. We offer indoor bike parking on-site and the closest Bluebikes stations are at Dane St., Conway Park and Union Square.
Event Health + Safety Policy
This event is in-person and masks are encouraged but not requires Greentown Labs. We recommend a medical grade or K/N95 mask; Greentown provides medical grade masks at the front desk of each location. Please reach out Jill Kirkpatrick (firstname.lastname@example.org), Senior Manager of Events, with any questions on our safety policy.
