Our mission at Greentown Labs is to foster and support cleantech startups that are solving the world’s biggest environmental challenges. We strive to provide our member companies with the space, resources and machinery they need to grow their companies.
We’re constantly listening for feedback about other items or resources that would benefit our startups and based on popular demand, last week we were proud to unveil the latest addition to the MassCEC-sponsored Machine Shop at Greentown Labs: an Epilog Laser Cutter! Our member companies have been lining up to receive training on the laser cutter which is reflective of the amazing impact this machine will have on our community. The Shop is staffed by a manager and accomplished machinist, Steve Sansone, and Greentown Labs’ team member Gregory Ralich can provide training to all interested members.
The purchase of the laser cutter was made possible by a generous grant from the MassCEC. The new machine lives alongside our other shared machinery resources in the Shop including a manual lathe, a CNC mill, a CNC lathe, a belt sander, a vacuum thermoformer, a 3D printer and more!
Thank you to the MassCEC team for their continued support of our community and our mission. Special thank you to Jeremy McDiarmid, Tom Reid and Katie Dobbins at MassCEC for joining the official ribbon cutting celebration!
