About the company
Verde Technologies is building the next generation of lightweight flexible solar panels for mass industrial and commercial adoption using a mineral called perovskite, an abundant and high-performing solar material.
About the solution
Verde Technologies is developing a thin-film flexible solar panel that is 10x lighter than traditional rigid silicon panels and highly efficient (up to 28%). Until now, perovskite panels have not been commercially produced because of issues with scaling and long-term stability. Verde has eliminated these barriers by developing a novel, roll-to-roll manufacturing technique that enables panels to be inexpensively printed from liquid ink using existing domestic printing and coating factories. Verde’s lightweight panels are then installed directly onto surfaces using a peel-and-stick adhesive backing.
