Among a startup founder’s many challenging questions: where do I put the company?
The choices range from setting up a laptop at the corner coffee bar, to joining a coworking space, right up through accelerator and incubator communities.
Startup ecosystems are referred to as contests, accelerators and incubators but it can be difficult to tell them apart, let alone identify the one that’s right for your startup.
Some companies need to enter a contest to validate their ideas and others need to spend time in an accelerator program to refine their business plan. Or, some startups may need to settle into an incubator for a period of time to seek expert mentorship, develop its product and go to market. Each of these communities offer unique benefits for startups and its essential for the budding company to know where to go.
To help guide them in this process, Greentown Labs put together the Startup Dictionary to help make the options a bit clearer and assist in the decision-making process.
