TotalEnergies

About the Company

TotalEnergies is a global multi-energy company that produces and markets energies: oil and biofuels, natural gas and green gases, renewables and electricity. The company’s more than 100,000 employees are committed to energy that is ever more affordable, cleaner, more reliable and accessible to as many people as possible. Active in nearly 130 countries, TotalEnergies puts sustainable development in all its dimensions at the heart of its projects and operations to contribute to the well-being of people.

As part of its ambition to get to net zero by 2050, TotalEnergies is building a world class cost-competitive portfolio combining renewables (solar, onshore and offshore wind) and flexible assets (CCGT, storage) to deliver clean firm power to its customers. At the end of 2023, TotalEnergies’ gross renewable electricity generation installed capacity was 22 GW. TotalEnergies will continue to expand this business to reach 35 GW in 2025 and more than 100 TWh of net electricity production by 2030.

In 2021, TotalEnergies brought together 3,400 of its engineers, scientists, and technicians into a new integrated multi-energy organization called One Tech. Its goal: provide solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and improve the energy efficiency of their projects, from the design phase through construction and development, as well as to accelerate innovation in all their assets.

Each year, TotalEnergies devotes around $1 billion to R&D. In 2023, more than 60% of our R&D focused on new energies (renewable electricity, new molecules), batteries and reducing their environmental footprint (methane, CCUS, water, biodiversity) compared to less than 30% in 2017.

OneTech is one of the pillars of the transformation of TotalEnergies into a major player in the energy transition.
