About the Company

Founded from Harvard, Voxel8 commercialized a unique multi-material digital manufacturing system to revolutionize how footwear and athletic apparel are designed, manufactured, and delivered to consumers.  In August 2021, Voxel8 was acquired by Kornit Digital, a leading-edge technology company that develops, manufactures and markets industrial and commercial, sustainable, digital printing solutions for Direct-To-Garment and Direct-To-Fabric applications. Combining the two technologies will enable even more enhanced printing solutions.

About the Solution

Voxel8’s complete solution includes hardware, software and materials to digitally print high-performance elastomers by mixing different ratios of reactive components in real time. This enables the printing of unique 3D functional features on textiles, with on-the-fly tuning of mechanical properties, in a no-tooling, manufacturing process. The combined Voxel8 – Kornit solution will offer never-before-seen versatility of 3D decorative and functional features on textiles – all within a fully-digital, faster, single-step, production platform.  Brands will be able to react quickly to market trends and consumer demands in real time, and realize the potential for customization and local manufacturing, while advancing down the sustainability path.
