About the Company
Oxylus Energy converts CO2 into carbon-neutral fuels and chemical feedstocks. The company develops the only low-cost direct low-temperature and low-pressure CO2 conversion to methanol that can decarbonize the hard-to-abate sectors of aviation, shipping, and petrochemical sectors that are currently responsible for ~11% of emissions. Its technology is 250% more energy efficient and 3x cheaper than current green methanol enabling the hard-to-abate sectors near normal operations in a net-zero future.
About the Solution

Oxylus Energy takes CO2 and water and within one electrochemical cell (our reactor) directly converts CO2 and water to green methanol. This is done at room temperature and pressure and thus compared to other green methanol production bypasses the need for green hydrogen, is more energy efficient, and more modular.

Green methanol is a leading sustainable fuel and feedstock with >98% emission reduction (compared to fossil diesel) and can be used as a drop-in fuel replacement for ships and large engines, converted to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and used as a petrochemical feedstock.

By directly converting to green methanol in lower cost reactors, Oxylus has carbon conversion and sustainable fuel production that is cheaper, integrates with current infrastructure, has a lower land footprint, more modular, and thus a more scalable solution for industrial decarbonization.
