About the company
Hera Materials (fka Atacama Biomaterials) is an MIT spinout developing regenerative plastics that can be made cost-effectively from diverse, local biomass, powered by Robotics and AI.
About the solution
Hera’s AI foundation model, MarieCurie, enables the design of composite materials that adhere to customer specs by using variable feedstock available from regional industrial waste. MarieCurie has enabled the design of WPk, Hera’s flagship proprietary material, which is a recycled paper-based film that has already obtained certification for industry standard performance metrics for pharmaceutical and food packaging.
