About the Company

Community Energy Labs’ (CEL) mission is to affordably enable communities’ building decarbonization goals by 2030. CEL’s core AI-powered clean building control platform was a regional winner of CleanTech Open’s 2020 international accelerator, an overall winner in the 2020 Madrona Venture Labs Go Vertical challenge, a 2021 impel+ building innovator, EPRI Incubate Energy 2021 cohort member, 2021 US Department of Energy SBIR awardee and 2021 California Energy Commission CalTestBed voucher recipient.

About the Solution

CEL is an IoT & Software as a Service control platform for building operators who find it complex, frustrating and very expensive to meet new building energy goals and tariffs. The company installs wireless sensors, equipment controllers, and use cloud-based software powered by model predictive control + machine learning to autonomously predict and efficiently control how and when  building equipment is operating so that more of it is powered by clean, affordable energy.
