Caravel Bio engineers spores to be functional enzyme carriers for industrial conditions in which free enzymes traditionally fall apart and living cells are not a viable option. By using an engineered spore, it gets all the benefits of traditional enzyme immobilization—higher stability and lifetime—without any of the drawbacks.
