European Cleantech Startups Tour the U.S.

Climate-KIC, a European climate change innovation initiative, has embarked on its 2014 Startup Tour of the US, during which 13 clean technology European startups will visit Silicon Valley and Boston to learn from other entrepreneurs, receive advice and mentorship, and create global clean technology connections. They are currently touring through Silicon Valley and will be in Boston in a few days, with several great events planned!

The start-ups are from France, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Spain, and the Netherlands and represent an incredible range of innovative and dynamic products that address some aspect of the climate change issue. For example, there’s a Hungarian startup, BIOMON, who has created an early warning wildfire detection system; a UK startup, Greengineering, who has developed a heat pump system to capture energy from wastewater; and a Spanish startup, Closca, who has made a collapsible bike helmet.
