SUMMARY:Transition-AI: Boston
DESCRIPTION:Post Script presents: a gathering of experts to help chart a path forward with AI in the energy transition\n\n\n\nClick here to purchase tickets and to see the agenda and speakers. Friends of Greentown receive 20% off with code GTL20! \n\n\n\nSuddenly\, artificial intelligence is everywhere. Business leaders across the energy sector are trying to figure out what it means for technology adoption\, competition\, and the way they run their companies. \n\n\n\nPost Script Media’s inaugural conference\, Transition-AI: Boston\, brings together experts and executives from across the energy and innovation space to discuss where AI is already proving its value in use cases for electric utilities\, renewable energy optimization\, EV charging solutions\, and virtual power plants\, while promising critical new capabilities to further evolve the flexibility and efficiency of our electricity system. \n\n\n\nOne of the central pillars of our transition to a net-zero economy is “electrifying everything\,” from energy generation\, to transportation\, heating and cooling\, heavy industry\, even the cooktops in our homes. As this electrification is underway\, it’s becoming increasingly clear an advanced digital layer to climate-tech is essential to add the necessary intelligence to these systems and the electric grid. This intelligence will more and more be the province of AI and the rapid innovations underway in machine learning and distributed intelligence systems. \n\n\n\nOver the course of one day\, you’ll: \n\n\n\n\nBuild an understanding of where AI is today\, and the paths of innovation underway.\n\n\n\nHear from leaders at utilities\, startups\, established companies in the energy space\, and leading researchers and academics on where AI is adding value.\n\n\n\nNetwork with fellow attendees during a hands-on session with GPT\, and brainstorm new ideas to enhance productivity and drive new innovations\n\n\n\nUnderstand the challenges and risks associated with AI in the electricity system\, and how use cases are emerging to address bottlenecks in the transition to net zero.\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend? \n\n\n\nTransition-AI: Boston is designed for the community of leaders and practitioners responsible for innovation\, strategy\, technology\, security\, and product development within the energy and utilities sectors. Titles will include: \n\n\n\n\nC-Level Executives\n\n\n\nHeads of Innovation\n\n\n\nVC/Investors\n\n\n\nVPs of Strategy\n\n\n\nVPs of Product Planning\n\n\n\nEnergy and Utility R&D Specialists\n\n\n\nIT decision makers\n\n\n\n\nJoin us in shaping the AI-driven net-zero energy future.

SUMMARY:2023 MIT Climate & Energy Prize: US Semi-Final
DESCRIPTION:Join us to hear from and network with student-led climate startups!\n\n\n\nThe MIT Climate & Energy Prize competition seeks to move the world closer to net zero carbon emissions by empowering ambitious entrepreneurs to solve the world’s most difficult climate-related challenges. \n\n\n\nIt is the largest and longest-running competition for student-led climate startups in the world. Since its founding in 2007\, the MIT Climate & Energy Prize has received more than 750 applications\, offered world-class mentoring to over 260 teams\, and granted more than $3.3M in non-dilutive cash prizes. Teams compete for $100\,000+ in prize money and have access to mentoring and other resources. Over 220 MIT Climate & Energy Prize companies have successfully launched and raised $1.7+ billion in follow-on funding. \n\n\n\nDuring the semifinal round\, teams of student entrepreneurs will present their business plans and prototypes to a panel of judges\, who will then evaluate the teams based on criteria such as the potential impact of their solution\, the feasibility of their business model\, and the strength of their team. The semifinal round is an opportunity for the teams to receive feedback and guidance from experienced industry leaders and to compete for a chance to advance to the final in April. \n\n\n\nRegister now \n\n\n\nClick here to register! \n\n\n\nPlease note that by registering to attend this event you are accepting these terms: You acknowledge that alcohol will be served and all attendees are subject to be ID’ed (only those 21+ will be served); You consent to your image or likeness being used in content associated with the event; You release Greentown Labs and all partners from any and all liability stemming from any event-related incident. \n\n\n\nQuestions?
