SUMMARY:Circular Economy in the Buildings Sector
DESCRIPTION:Featuring pitches from the Go Build 2023 finalist startups\, in partnership with Saint-Gobain\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets on Eventbrite\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us to celebrate the kickoff of Go Build 2023\, a Greentown Go startup-corporate partnerships accelerator program focused on advancing circularity and decarbonization in the built environment\, in partnership with Saint-Gobain. \n\n\n\nAt this event\, attendees will hear lightning pitches from startup finalists in the buildings industry with innovations that extend product life cycles\, further develop raw materials\, revalorize waste\, or act as other enabling technologies.  \n\n\n\nInnovation in the buildings sector is critical to achieving decarbonization. Buildings are responsible for 39 percent of CO2 emissions globally\, with a staggering 11 percent of global emissions coming from the construction of buildings and manufacturing of building materials. To change this\, we need innovations that reinvent how buildings and their materials are planned\, built\, sourced\, and managed.  \n\n\n\nAgenda\n\n\n\nin ET: \n\n\n\n5:30 – 6:00 p.m. Arrival and Networking \n\n\n\n6:00 – 6:04 p.m. Introduction and Opening Remarks with Nour Ghadanfar\, Senior Director of Partnership Programs \n\n\n\n6:04 – 6:10 p.m. Saint-Gobain remarks with Sven Harmsen\, Director External Ventures at NOVA by Saint-Gobain \n\n\n\n6:10 – 6:30 p.m. ‘Making the Built Environment Circular: Perspectives from Industry and the Public Sector’ Panel featuring \n\n\n\n\nDennis Wilson\, VP\, ESG & Managing Director\, Saint-Gobain Circular Economy Solutions NA at Saint-Gobain\n\n\n\nBev Craig\, Program Director\, Buildings at MassCEC\n\n\n\nJohn Crowley\, Senior Advisor\, Innovation\, Technology\, and Strategy at Asahi Kasei\n\n\n\n\n6:30 – 6:50 p.m. Lightning Pitches from startup finalists: \n\n\n\n\nActive Surfaces \n\n\n\nCalmura Natural Walls Inc. \n\n\n\nCarbon Upcycling Technologies \n\n\n\nEndeavor Composites\, Inc. \n\n\n\nHempitecture\n\n\n\nMetaComb Inc. \n\n\n\nnecoTECH USA \n\n\n\nPuro Renewables\, Inc. \n\n\n\nTANGObuilder \n\n\n\nZS2 Technologies \n\n\n\n\n6:50 – 6:55 p.m. Closing Remarks \n\n\n\n6:55 – 8:00 p.m. Networking \n\n\n\nAbout Greentown Go\n\n\n\nThe climate crisis urgently demands sweeping climatetech deployment.
